Nearly 80,000 people in Rotherham are eligible to have a free NHS Health Check with Get Healthy Rotherham. If you’re aged between 40 and 74, and you haven’t had a stroke or been diagnosed with heart disease, diabetes or kidney disease, then you should be eligible for a NHS Health Check every 5 years .

The 20-30 minute assessment aims to identify those at risk of serious, but potentially avoidable conditions, such as heart disease, stroke, kidney disease, type 2 diabetes and some types of dementia.

It is well worth checking to see if you qualify.
